Anne Marie Smith "Weetsie" Talley, of Richmond and Irvington, died February 16, 2007. She is survived by her husband, Charles R. Talley, a retired Senior Executive Officer of First & Merchants National Bank and of Sovran Bank. She is survived by a daughter, Laurie Anne Talley Covington of Lake Manassas, Va.; a son, Charles R. Talley, Jr., of Midlothian and his wife, Therese. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Anne Therese Talley of Glen Allen, Ashley Marie Talley of Midlothian, and Richard Talley Covington of Lake Manassas. In addition, she is survived by two sisters, Mary Lou S. Patterson of Newport News, and Barbara S. Tye of Chesapeake.
After graduating from John Marshall High School, Mrs. Talley attended Farmville State Teacher's College, now Longwood University. She was a charter member of the Willow Oaks Country Club in Richmond and also a member of the Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, as well as the Tartan Golf Club in Irvington. Mrs. Talley was a longtime member of the Old Dominion Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. She also was a member of the Wingfield Family Society and of Second Baptist Church in Richmond.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Central Chapel of Bliley Funeral Homes, 3801 Augusta Ave., on Sunday, Feb. 18, from 5-8 pm. A graveside service will be held 11 am Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, in Westhampton Memorial Park.
