He is survived by his most loving wife, Pauline Littlepage Field, and many wonderful friends.

Mr. Field retired from the Virginia Department of Highways in 1983 after 42 years of military service. He enlisted in the U. S. Marine Corps and served during World War II in the Marshall Islands and Iwo Jima.

He was a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital for over 15 years, and was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Remains rest at the Central Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 3215 Cutshaw Avenue, where the family will receive friends 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday, and where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 18. Interment in Westhampton Memorial Park.
