He is survived by his wife, Juanita B. Creighton; one son, Stanley G. Creighton and his wife, Mary Ellen Helton Creighton; three stepchildren: Deborah Jenkins, Thomas G. Jenkins, and Rev. Mark Jenkins and his wife, Terrie Jenkins; by six grandchildren and one great-grandchild; by one sister, Ruth C. Palmer and her husband Harold Palmer.

George graduated from Watkins Glen High School in Watkins Glen, NY and from State Technical in Utica, NY with a degree in mechanical engineering. He retired after years of service with Gould's Pumps of Seneca Falls, NY.

He was an active member and a Deacon of Second Baptist Church until his illness, and then he enjoyed the Grove Avenue television ministry.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm on Tuesday, November 20, at the Parham Chapel of Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Road. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 21, at Second Baptist Church, 9614 River Road. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemmtery, 12609 Patterson Avenue. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Second Baptist Church Building Fund, 9614 River Road, Richmond VA 23229, or Grove Avenue Television Ministry, 8701 Ridge Road, Richmond VA 23229.
