She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Bargatze, and is survived by two sons: James R. Bargatze and Ronald H. Bargatze, and his wife, Margaret; a grandson, Howard Hampton Bargatze and his wife, Elizabeth; a granddaughter, Margaret Anne Bargatze.

Mrs. Bargatze was a member of Second Baptist Church, the Country Club of Virginia, and Tuckahoe Woman's Club.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2001, in Westhampton Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

The Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, is assisting the family with arrangements.
