Delores Bishop, 54, of Richmond, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 24, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, Everette Hale and Hallie Booker Stephens; father-in-law, Arthur T. Bishop. She is survived by her loving husband, James Robert Bishop; beloved daughter, April Heather Bishop; her mother for 37 years, Ruth Barrett and her husband, Jim Barrett, and their children, Douglas, Frederic, and Joe Barrett; mother-in-law, Lillie Mae Bishop; an aunt, Frances S. Isbell; an uncle, Millard Stephens; and her devoted best friend, Tamzie Graham. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Saturday, at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 Parham Road, Richmond. A memorial service will be held 2 pm Sunday at Second Baptist Church in Richmond. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Massie Cancer Center at Stony Point.
