Second Baptist's own Boy Scout Troop 702 is rated as one of the best troops in the Robert E. Lee Council.

Currently we have 43 scouts, meeting on Tuesday nights from 7:30 - 8:45 p.m. in Spence Hall, with monthly camping trips.

Since its inception in 1993, Troop 702 has produced more than 21 Eagle Scouts.

Scouting is a citizenship, character-building, and leadership program utilizing outdoor skills.

To become a scout, a boy must be 11 years old or have completed the fifth grade. For more information, contact Bob Ramsey, or call the church office, 740-7101.

Instruction
Dennis Elwell instructs a group of Scouts about some of the finer points of camping just before leaving on a trip.
