The Fine Arts Acadmey of Second Baptist Church, under the umbrella of the Music Ministry, is enrolling for the 2011-2012 school year.

We offer private lessons in piano, voice, strings, violin, brass, woodwinds and guitar.

In the fall of 2011, we will have a Theatre Class!

The Fine Arts Academy is an outreach tool that:

  • Provides quality instruction in the arts in a safe, positive Christian environment.
  • Aids in the development of students in the areas of self esteem, skill, social interaction and accomplishment.
  • Assists in meeting the spiritual needs of students.

Lessons and Scheduling:

Qualified Christian professional instructors on the premises of Second Baptist Church will teach all Academy lessons. Lessons are taught in 30 minute and 45 minute blocks and are offered Monday, Tuesday and  Thursday afternoons. During the enrollment period, students will be assigned an instructor, lesson day and time.  Every effort will be made to accommodate requests. Once a lesson time is determined, the student will be contacted to onfirm participation and other specifics.

Adult Piano Lessons:

Due to the positive comments from summer lessons, we are offering piano lessons to adults, beginning Fall 2011. Each lesson will run 45 minutes and taught on the Church premises by a qualified Christian professional. Tuition and registration materials are the same as listed below.

Instrument Policy:

Students are responsible for providing their own instruments (except piano) and should be able to practice on instruments that facilitate progress. The director and instructors will be glad to recommend dealers for new, used or rental instruments.  See our list of music rental Vendors.

A one-time $35 non-refundable registration fee must accompany the enrollment form. This fee is in addition to the overall tuition costs.

  • $30.00 per 30 minute lesson
  • $40.00 per 45 minute lesson
