Lakewood Manor Trip

It’s time to plan our second choir trip to Lakewood Manor. They really do look forward to the children and their singing! The younger choirs (Pre-K & K) and the oldest choir (4th & 5th grade) are planning to sing  at Lakewood Manor on Wednesday, March 21st.  As always, this is a joint Music and Mission activity since the children will be making something during missions to take to the residents there.

For those of you with children age 5 or under, we need you to provide transportation for your child to Lakewood Manor that night.  Since the children are to arrive at 6:45, we ask that you and your child arrive at Lakewood Manor at 6:40.  Someone at the desks at the main entrances can guide you to the auditorium.  If you need help finding a ride for your child, please ask.  I am sure there could be car pooling or sharing booster seats.  Either way, please let your child’s choir leader know your plans by filling out the form or speaking to them. Thanks.

The children age 6 and over will be leaving on the church buses at 6:30 p.m., so we would appreciate it if you could have your child in their choir room at 6:20 p.m.   We will be returning to church around 7:30 p.m.  Permission slips are necessary for your age 6 and over child to be allowed to go with us on the bus.  (There will be extra forms at the commons desk or on the church website.)  Please also provide an email address in case there are any last minute changes.

We are looking forward to having your child participate with us, and having many of you parents with us as well, to enjoy their night of sharing their songs and mission gifts with these friends at Lakewood Manor.  Thanks for your continued support.

Your precious children are weekly reminders of God’s gift of singing.  We are so thankful for your children and for your commitment to our children’s music ministry at Second Baptist.
