Second Baptist Church is collecting specific items to package and send to Haiti as part of a medical mission trip organized by Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing. Each package will be a Ziploc baggie containing 5-8 bandaids; a washcloth; a comb; a small tube of toothpaste; a toothbrush; and a 4 piece manicure set. We hope that church members will purchase multiple numbers of one item and place them in the collection boxes. The packages will be assembled after the collection is complete.
Boxes will be placed right inside the Music Suite to receive the completed packets or the items. They will be needed by Sunday, Feb. 21 in order to be assembled.
The group will take as many packets as we can donate. The need is so tremendous that these types of packets will be needed for probably several years to come; certainly for the next 6 or so months. It is impossible to imagine not having even a washcloth to use.
Signup sheets will be placed in the Music Suite for the different items, so that we can make sure to get an equal amount.
