Music is a vital part of the marriage service. A church wedding is a worship service, not a private or personal celebration. The overall effect and theological implication of the words and music should be worshipful and sacred. Popular love songs, broadway show tunes, and other profane music should be left for the celebration afterwards.

Please contact organist Bob Mayo (754-8569) as early as possible to secure his services and to arrange a meeting to discuss selecting music. The selection of all music for the wedding service should be finalized with Mr. Mayo at least one month prior to the wedding date. Contact Minister of Music Bill Miller (740-7101) to obtain recommendations and approval for vocal selections, soloists, and instrumentalists.
